For me autumn is the cousin to spring, and as March moves into April, when Easter reminds us of renewal and resurrection, it is a great time of year to take breath and take stock. In spring we have ‘Spring Cleaning’ for us in the southern hemisphere I find autumn’s temperatures more conducive to de-cluttering, sorting out, reorganizing and refreshing the home and lifestyle.

To those who practice Feng Shui, autumn is harvest time, denoted by crop gathering and celebrating the wealth and growth of the effort put into it. It is a time to gather our thoughts, and to prepare for the slower winter months. It is a time to assess. When it comes to interiors Feng Shui suggests we enjoy the autumn energy and celebrate past seasons by reviewing items accumulated during the previous seasons.
